Survey of Donor Officials

As  part of the research project Donor-Government Relations in Sub-Saharan Africa, I fielded an original, cross-national survey of top-level donor officials working in twenty countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Funding from the survey came from the Research Executive Agency of the European Commission (CIG #322228)

The survey targeted Heads of Development Cooperation (HoCs) working for all major aid agencies.  The survey is, to my knowledge, the first multi-country survey of high-ranking donor officials working at the mission-level. In total, 114 individuals from 23 different donor agencies participated in the survey. The survey was made available to respondents via the online survey platform Qualtrics in both French and English and had a response rate of 53%.

First results from the survey are available here. Please contact me if you would like to see a copy of the survey protocol.
